Personal Story Interview

As the Steadicam Operator, I choreographed the camera’s motion to mirror the subject’s internal state—subtle shifts, steady tracking, and emotional reveals. This piece was an exercise in precision and empathy: learning how camera movement alone can tell a deeply human story.

Created as part of a film class assignment, I created this piece to practice how camera movement alone—especially through Steadicam—can hold emotional weight and tell a story without cuts or words. As the Steadicam Operator and Story Creator, I focused on maintaining emotional proximity while giving space for the performance to breathe. Every shift in movement was intentional, mirroring internal change in real-time.

This project taught me how to tell more with less: one camera, one theme, one continuous shot—and a story that many people quietly live every day.
